St Pancras Station, London. The trainshed, designed by William Barlow for the Midland Railway in the 1860s. Northern gable end. Side view showing the lattice of iron girders that support the structure. Originally this was the northernmost point of the station; now it is connected to the four bays of the flat roof of the new entrance area, which leads to Norman Foster's northern extension, necessitated by the greater length of the Eurostar trains it serves. Eurostar services moved here in 2007.
