The tablets shall be fastened to the granite by 3^-inchbronze dowels, one at each corner. The work shall be open to inspection by the commis-sion or sculptor at any time during the manufacture. The foundry shall give bond in the full amount of thecontract for the faithful performance and completion ofthe work. The specifications for the bronze tablets that were in-serted in the back of the regimental monument, althoughof a different design, was in all particulars like the onefor the cavalry monument.
