Model of an Anchor, anonymous, c. 1879 instruction model Model of a 'flat-handed anchor without anchor. Both hands are mounted parallel to each other on an axis that runs through the anchor cross and on which they turn. The flat front of the hands puts the work of the anchor stick and forces the points down the hands. The model has a harp at the end of the shaft and one at the cross, and a double scalm around the shaft.
