The pure white flesh is of choicest quality, hard, solid, and fine-grained ; it is an excellent keeper; keeps well all winter. The Extra Early Milan has a decided advantage over the Munich, in the fact that, even if allowed to grow to a large size, it does not become bitter, but preserves its fine quality.
