Fireworks display in Balluta Bay, Malta

Balluta Bay, in Malta, is dominated by the neo-gothic parish church and the art nouveau Balluta Buildings (not visible in the photo). The Balluta Roman Catholic parish church is dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, known as "Tal-Karmnu" in Maltese. I took this photo during the village feast, which is held annually on the last Sunday of July, and outside celebrations include - amongst others - processions, brass bands, and fireworks, drawing both locals as well as foreigners to the feasts.
