In the hook of Camdens Grants in the CoUege of Arms, it is recorded that the followingcoat was granted 2 January, 1600, to — Spring of Packenham, in com. Sutf. : —Argent, a chevron engrailed between three mascles Gules. Crest:—a demi stag proper. The arms of Spring as tricked in Vincents Suffolk Collections, are Argent, on a chevronbetween three mascles Gules as many cinquefoUs pierced Or, each charged with fivetorteaux, a crescent for difference.
