Beside him,on a roadway, stands another man whose costume comprises a drab hat. darkgreen belted coat, red stockings and white Haps to his boots. Farther back inthe roadway, in the shadow of some trees on a knoll at the left, a figure in blackapproaches. An imperfect signature near the log suggests, Ruisdael, fct.
