Blue plaque commemorating the work of Ernest Rutherford on the outside of the building that used to be the Physical Laboratory of Manchester University, Coupland St, Manchester. Rutherford worked here between 1907 and 1919 leading a team that first split the atom. The building, formerly called the Coupland Building was renamed the Rutherford Building in 2007.
