Roger Meyer salutes as he is rung ashore following a change of command ceremony where he was formerly relieved by Springfield’s new Commanding Officer Cmdr. Brent Spillner during a change of command ceremony in Naval Submarine Base New London’s chapel. USS Springfield is a Los Angeles-class, fast attack submarine currently homeported at Naval Submarine Base New London.
