On the other side of Wesley Lakelies Ocean Grove, in many respects theexact antithesis of Asbury founded by Methodists as acampmeeting ground, much of the olddecorum and strict propriety are stillsustained. It has a famous auditorium,seating ten thousand persons and con-taining the largest pipe organ in thecountry. The boardwalk, continuingsouthward along the ocean front, af-fords a close link with Asbury Park<iless sedate ATLANTIC HKJULANDS THE JERSEY SHORE Adjoining Ocean Gro\ e on the southis Bradley Beach, with Avon next inorder. Belmar has besides its oceanfront the added advantages of SharkRiver, long famous for crabbing, andoffering fine facilities for a pretty, wooded spot, sepa-rates the town from Spring latter, frequently called theNewport of New Jersey, is noted forthe magnificence of its summer homesand the fashionable gaieties of the hoteland cottage contingents. Sea Girt isfamous as the site of the summer en-campment of the New Jersey NationalGuard, and here the Governor of theState makes his home during theheated term. Manasquan comes nexton the shore, and then Point Pleasant,with its peculiarly fortunate combina-tion of the ocean on one side and thebroad Manasquan River on the other. The first point on the All Rail Routeof the Central which appeals to thesummer vacationist is Sewaren, sit-uated on a bluff overlooking Staten Isl-and Sound
