Several stamps at the breech. Flintlock with brass pan and the maker's inscription, "Versailles". Walnut half stock with iron furniture and iron ramrod. The original pommel cap with the "N" cipher, was replaced by a simple iron one after the reign of Napoleon. Stock has two small cracks, and a repair in the region of the side plate.
