Last years defending winner Robert Gough from Arctic Tacx CC, No 150, managed a good effort and came in 2nd in 1 minute seconds. Maryka Sennema from Kingston Wheelers CC, was the first lady in with a winning time of 2 minutes and seconds. The race is a 707 yard climb with an average gradient of , with two stretches of 25% which requires an all-out lung bursting effort to get up the climb.
