The fishing is of the best, and boats may be had for Lake Hotel is the first hotel in the Park reached by touristsentering via the Cody or Eastern Entrance. The next point is the climax of the Park trip—the GrandCanyon. It is reached after an interesting ride from the Lake, forthe most part along the banks of the Yellowstone River. En routeare passed Hayden Valley, the rendezvous of wild game, AlumCreek, Trout Creek, the terrific Mud Volcano, and the GothicGrotto near by.
