Thissur, India. 30th Dec, 2017. more than 1200 women participated in this event was conducted by kerala kshethra samrakshana dancers began with an invocation to Lord Ganesa. The participants danced to Thiruvathirapattu, Kathakali padam, Kummi, Kurathipattu and Vanchipattu. Thiruvathirakali is traditionally performed on the day of Thiruvathira in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (December-January). Women dance to the accompaniment of Thiruvathira paattu.
