This fine oak tree was planted in Vowchurch to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V on 6th May 1935. It is placed on the river bank, opposite the village church. There are two more commemorative trees in the village, one to mark the coronation of King George VI in 1937 and one to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. The tree in the photograph has a bronze plaque near to the base of the trunk.
