This man is a tinsmith, in about 1889. He posed here with his primary tinning equipment in a photographer's studio. He is believed to be Mr. William Noll, Jr., known as W. W. He was one of three Noll brothers who operated the Noll Hardward Co. in Marshfield, Wisconsin, USA beginning in 1887. W. W. was previously an experienced tinner and when his family aquired this hardware store in Marshfield, he moved there to run the tin wares part of the store. lived a long life, including having owned a couple of racehorses.
