At Samuel Feast & Sous' store I had the pleasure of renewing my acquaint- ance with Mrs. Fanny P. Hill. Mrs. Hill had just returned to the store after an absence caused by pneumonia. There must be something about our business that keeps people young and pleasant, for she is just the same pleasing person she was when I first met her more years ago than I like to remember. I asked her how long she had been with this house and it is hard to believe that it is tliirty-ninc years. When you think of all those years in one place, it is not surprising that she commands one of the best trades in the city. There is no part of the store end of this firm's business that she does not know by heart. Wil- liam Feast devotes all of his time to the greenhouses and, as the stuff he is pro- ducing out there will l)e worth a visit to see, 1 will write about this range later. ^ Haliiday Bros, wore busily engaged arranging some fine blooming plants they liad just received. K. A. Seidewitz recently had a window decoration that was not only fine, but attracted a great deal of attention. He called it a bridal window, having all the accessories to a wedding, even to the altar. Another feature of the win- dow which made it interesting was the photographs of this winter's Baltimore brides in their bridal costumes. There are no* two things more attractive to women than flowers and brides, espe- cially when jiliotograjjlis of the latter are displayed with the former. Another piece
