Statistics were availablefor Chicago from 1872 to 1903. The rate of Negro arrests in 1872 was153, in 1903, 185. The maximum, 586, was reached in 1892.* Data wereavailable for Louisville from 1884 to 1902. The rate of arrests in 1884was 129, in 1902, 93. The maximum was reached in 1884.
