Remains of old fish weir on Lligwy Beach, Moelfre, Anglesey, North Wales, UK


Lligwy Beach or Traeth Lligwy, a long sandy beach north of Moelfre & south of Dulas Bay & Traeth yr Ora. Looking east at the remains of a fishing weir at the south end of the beach. The long arc of boulders was designed to trap fish as the tide receded. Limestone from the low cliff used to be quarried.
