Cefadroxil antibiotic drug. 10-capsule blisterpack of 250 mg capsules of the antibiotic drug cefadroxil. This drug is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that is effective against bacteria that are resistant to penicillin. Its uses include the treatment of infections such as strep throat. This drug was developed by the US pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb, with the patent expiring in 1987. This form of the drug, also produced by Bristol-Myers Squibb, is being marketed under the brand name Baxan.
