Head shorter than trunk; head plus trunk J length from snout to base of caudal rays. A conical knob behind eye, its tip projecting through the skin (? due to abrasion in trawl). Eye 7-8 in post-ocular part of head; 2 in distance from anterior margin of eye to anterior.
