His streetrailway connectiondates from 1902, whenhe became associatedwith the Omaha &Council Bluffs Street Railway as director. Since 1905 he has been vice-presidentof that company. A number of citizens associations of the District ofColumbia have jointly adopted a resolution petitioning con-gress to direct the bureau of corporations or the interstatecommerce commission to make an investigation of the electricrailways of the district with respect to their organization,capitalization, etc., and to ascertain whether legislation re-quiring the companies to render better service should be en-acted. A second resolution petitions congress to grant au-thority to the district commissioners to regnlate the serviceof the companies. January 25, 1908.
