Here I found Miss Cook and her assistants so busy with a large funeral order to be shipped to Virginia that they had not had time to dress the window. Now, it must be something im- portant to cause this, for Miss Cook's window is usually the first on the street to be arranged for the day, and she is never at ease until it is done. However, when tlie order was ready for the expressman, and as they were arranging stuff for the window, I sat and asked questions. My stock ques- tion, "How is business?" invariably comes first.
