They do not sell well. Bachelor's buttons go more slowly. Stevia, Paper Whites and Ro- mans are all in heavy supply and make no advance. A few trumpet daffodils and tulips appeared this week, also freesias. There is an abundance of valley. Callas and lilies are in good ?upply, but move slowly. Quite a few cut poinset- tias are available. These sell more slowly than usual. There are quite a few cattleyas and eypripediums, also Dendrobium phalffinopsis and Vanda cserulea. Gardenias are in fair supply. Asparagus is moving somewhat better. Business done in evergreens, wreaths and festooning is heavy; in fact, many of the retailers are doing more in this than in cut flowers and plants. Pot plant trade is fair, but falls be- low the average of previous years. The cold weather from December 12 to 18 restricted sales and shipping, but grow- ers are all hoping for milder condi- tions nearer Christmas.
