A man whittling wood at a Civil war re-enactment in Newark, England, UK

Over 300 civil war re-enactors will descended on Newark during early May Bank Holiday when the clock is turned back to the turbulent mid-17th century. The 4th Annual Pikes and Plunder Civil War Festival will took place on Sunday 6th & Monday 7th May with over a dozen regiments taking part alongside two artillery companies, a baggage train and scores of living history exponents making the 2018 Festival an even bigger spectacle than before. The action took place across historic Newark with pitched battles fought at the Queen’s Sconce and a major living history encampment at Newark Castle.
