China: King Jie (c. 1728-1675 BCE), 17th and last ruler of the Xia dynasty, portrayed with a halberd and two ladies. Relief rubbing, c. 150 CE. King Jie, also known as Xia Jie and Lu Gui, was the 17th and last scion of Xia Dynasty. He was known as an oppressive tyrant who lived a hedonistic and extravagant lifestyle while treating his own people with extreme cruelty. One of the more fanciful tales tell of how he ordered a lake of wine made for his concubine Mo Xi, where they sailed about in a large naked orgy. He was defeated by Tang of Shang in 1600 BCE, who started the Shang Dynasty.
