In a man-made waterhole in the heart of the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in central India, a tigress called the Jhurjhura female and her three 5-month-cubs enjoyed a bath for relief from the 46-degree centigrade heat. This image portrays the undiluted innocence and comeliness of a female cub, who, driven by the classic feline trait of curiosity, mustered enough courage to come round to the edge of the waterhole, where our safari vehicle was parked, to examine it.
