They say business is dull just now, but that if it were not dull they would never have been able to get ready for the new stock, as they have been rushed all of the time till the last few days. They are out of almost all varie- ties of bulbs. A visit to the greenhouses of the Mount Olivet Cemetery Co. found them almost sold out of everything. The firm must either enlarge the plant or see much of the business go elsewhere. Things were looking well, however, and it is always a good omen to be sold out when a good crop has been grown. Mclntyre Bros, have about com- pleted their new flower store, and it will be one of the most roomy and best arranged of the retail shops of the town. It is located away from the business part of the town, on one of the principal residence streets. We shall be interested to see if the location proves a success. Haury & Sons report the best busi- ness ever. They have been running a retail wagon to handle their pot mums, as well as doing more than the normal amount of business from their store. Geny Bros, continue to have all the business they can attend to. Their windows contain the best decorations seen there for a long time, and that is saying a great deal. They believe in a good, artistic window display, and the way every one is working every time we happen in is evidence that it pays. F. B. CINCINNATI. The Gateway to the South.
