Members of the Army Corps of Engineers, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources, and the Presque Isle State Park Advisory Committee conduct a semi-annual “beach walk” to survey the results of annual erosion at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania, April 5, 2022. To control shoreline erosion and induce the continued growth of the park’s Gull Point – a habitat for endangered species – the Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District nourishes Presque Isle’s beach with new sand each year.
