Otto Klinger, window display artist for Grimm & Gorly, exhibited two of the most attractive Memorial day win- dow displays ever seen here. They held the attention of the crowds along busy Washington avenue all through the last week. Frank Gorly says it is remark- able the way the business keeps up. S. A. Kost, inventor of the soil pul- verizer, spent a few days in this city last week, representing the William F. Kasting Co., Buffalo, N. Y. While here Mr. Kost arranged to place one of his pulverizers on exhibition with the Wm. C. Smith Wholesale Floral Co. Mr. Kost travels in a Dodge automobile. Michel Reiter, 24 years old, son of John M. Reiter, gardener for the United States Public Health Service hospital, on Arsenal street, was killed by light- ning at 2:30 p. m., May 25. Mr. Reiter is well known among the local garden- ers, who extended their sympathy. The Bourdet Floral Co. will start wrecking the old houses, facing Tower Grove avenue, next week and will re- place them with new show houses. Other improvements, too, arc contem- jilatcd. The plant business this year lias been the best since the company was established. W. H. Krnse, the Ars(Mial street flo- rist, says he has had more business Mothers' day and since than he could handle. Several large weddings fea- tured last month's business. His range of glass, at Kirkwood, produced a fine
