It is 6 ft. 9 in. long over alland at the point where the fulcrum pin is applied has a cross sec- bolted a cast iron bushing with walls J4 ■ thick, which forms thewearing surface for the center casting. This bushing has anopening at the back 7^ in. wide which extends the full depthof the casting, and is provided with a collar at the bottom, whichfits against the bottom edge of the vertical guide. The engine truck center casting is made of cast steel. Itsupper portion, which fits into the vertical guide, is made in theform of a hollow cylinder with walls one inch thick, in the. Arrangement of Details of the Leading Trucl< tion 4 in. wide by 12 in. deep. The back end is supported by ahanger from the cross equalizer. The front end is supportedin a specially designed casting which forms a part of the enginetruck. The fulcrum pin is supported in two steel castings fittedand bolted together directly beneath the cylinders. Each cast-ing is bolted to a main frame with eight of the XYz-m. boltswhich are used to secure tlie cylinder castings to the frame, and is also bolted to the bottom of the cylinder casting with sixXyi-in. bolts. The castings are bolted together at the centerwith four IJi-in. and two 1^4-in. bolts. The V/z-m. bolts passthrough the bottom bolting flanges of the cylinder castings. Thecastings are carefully fitted and bolted into place and serve also
