Mbambalaji Ngayoni wait for his friends to go to forest together to rear cattle in Kilosa, Tanzania.

A young Maasai boy waits for his friends (not seen in the photo) to get ready so that they can go together to the forest for cattle rearing. The photo was taken in Ngayoni forest in Changarawe, Kilosa district, Tanzania on 3rd October 2017. Most Maasai boys are engaged in cattle rearing from an early age. They are deprived of education and hence are left with no other choice than to continue cattle rearing. The case is even worse with young Maasai girls who are as well deprived of education and have to do loads of work.
