1905 monochrome postcard shot above Talbot Square toward North Pier, with trams and Edwardian people, Blackpool, Lancashire, UK
The North Pier, Blackpool's oldest pier, opened in 1863. One of its early attractions was the Indian Pavilion, replicating the Temple of Binderabund, in India, and seen right background. Pleasure steamers also anchored at its seaward end. One is seen centre background. The postcard is one of A and G Taylor's 'Reality Series' and was posted in Blackpool 30 August 1905.
