Ranescar North Yorkshire on the East Coast of England

Ravenscar is near Whitby in North Yorkshire. Ravenscar is famously known as the town that was planned but never built. It was planned in Victorian times, roads were built and sewers laid (See photos). Plots of land were sold to developers, but the plan was badly researched. The route to the area is precarious and the area though beautiful is exposed. The building company folded in 1913. It had built less than a dozen houses. Peak was renamed Ravenscar. An overgrown Railway satands next to the old railway line which is now overgrown.
