American soldier demonstrating the use of the Browning machine gun during World War One. The model, known as the Browning heavy machine gun, was water-cooled and fed from a belt of 250 rounds of cartridges. It performed remarkably well in tests, with 39,500 shots fired without any issues. The gun weighed 34 pounds and was effective in various tactical situations.
