Statue of the 'Fine Lady upon a White Horse' at Banbury Cross in Oxfordshire

This statue of the 'Fine Lady upon a White Horse' was sculpted in bronze and unveiled on 27 April 2005 by the Princess Royal. "Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross" is an English Nursery Rhyme connected to the market town of Banbury in Oxfordshire, and written around the bottom of the statue:- Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross, To see a fine lady upon a white horse; With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes, She shall have music wherever she goes. There are other variations of this nursery rhyme, but this is the most noted.
