The monolith has the advan-tages of not staining with oil, cracking, giving off dust andnot being as hard under the feet as concrete. It is alsoeasy to keep clean and can be patched readily. The use of flexible-steel conduit offers the advantages tempered mortar. The disconnecting switch slabs and bus-bar barriers are of concrete.
