Biodegradable plastic from chicken feathers. Injection moulder making plastic flower pots from pellets made from chicken feathers. Feathers are a major by-product of the poultry industry. A process has been found that can transform chicken feathers into biodegradable plastic. The feathers are shredded, powdered, converted to pellet form, and then moulded into plastic products including flower pots.
