Dull brown, densely covered with short, prostrate hair; antennre reddish brown; legs yellow. Thorax one-fourth longer than wide, slightly narrowed in front, sides feebly curved; hind angles prominent, acute, divergent, with a short and rather feeble carina. Elytra gradually tapering from base to apex, striate, the stris with close set, oblong punctures; intervals flat, finely punctulate. Length 14-17 mm. (Fig. 279.)
