In 1895 we suc- ceeded in harvesting a few hundred bushels of it, and sold it here in the store to some of our best oat growers, with the most favorable results. Dur- ing the season of 1896 we planted largely of it, and now offer it through our catalogue to all who de- sire one of the finest oats ever introduced. It has out-yielded any variety of oats thus far tried. The cracked-up yielders and prize winners so largely advertised do not compare with it, as our own tests and the tests of veteran oat growers prove. This is not an old variety renamed ; it is not a variety that will yield 400 bushels to the acre, but it is NEW OAT of more merit than any we have ever tried or have had tried. Our farmer is a man of long experience in one of the best oat growing sections of this country. He has grown oats for forty years, has tried all the past noted kinds, also the new kinds cracked up during the past few years, including the prize winners of the cyclonic north- west, and the Giant Flag is superior to any of them.
