82 year old Kenji Kawamoto applies his medicated lotions to his keloid scarring caused by burns from the 6th August 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima city, in his home in Tokuyama city, Japan, Tuesday 3rd August 2010. Kenji Kawamoto was 17 years old on the day of the bombing, and was very close to the epicentre of the nuclear bombing in Hiroshima, and since then has endured a lifetime of pain. He has received more than 50 operations on his scars and wounds from that day.
