Water for the plant was secured by <lamming a branch of Catha-rine River and laying a pipe with natural gravity liow to a well inthe boiler room. Analysis ofthe water showed it to be lirst-classfor steaming purposes. The water dammed back being on the parallel to tlie tracks. The tracks arc carried over the pits ontrestles to allow space at the sides for light and ventilation. The car equipment consists of 12 cars; four are similar to thatshown in Fig. S.
