The lean-to has three feet of cement and eighteen inches of glass in the east wall, while the west wall of the greenhouse proper has five feet of glass and three feet of wood. The boiler is located near the middle of the south end of the main house. There is the equivalent of 5,400 square feet of glass, and 1,436 square feet of radiation will be required to heat it to 55 degrees. The boiler is rated for 2,325 square feet of radiation, and will use soft coal. How many flows will be needed? What size should they be and where should they be placed? How many 2-inch returns should be used, and where should the coils be located? W. E. L.—Ohio. For the main house we should use three 2^-inch overhead mains, with ten 2-inch pipes for the returns.
