He was, there-fore, well prepared to preside over the destinies of possessed in middle age the energy of youth, and gavea new impulse to the work of the College in all its at the end of one scholastic year, just as he passedthe Senior or Philosophy class for graduation, he wastransferred to the more responsible position of Presidentof Woodstock College, to direct the formation of the (148). On February 4th, 1901, a play was given in the CollegeHall by the Dramatic Association of the students,entitled A Celebrated Case. The printed program of the play gave a list of dramaticperformances given by the students of Loyola during thepreceding fifteen years, as follows: i885~86, Feli-cian, King Alfred; i886-87, King John; 1887-1888, Henry IV.; i888-89, The Cross of St. Johns;i889-90, The Undergraduates; 1890-91, Damonand Pythias; 1891-92, Pizarro; 1892-93, WilliamTell; i893-94, KingJohn; i894-95, Henry IV.;i895-96, Damon and Pythias; i896-97, Guy Man-nering; 1897-98, The Man in the Iron Mask; 1899-1900, Sebastian, the Roman Martyr, The Mikado. Credit should be given this year to Dr. Francis , for the Susan Murphy Medal, founded by himin memory of his mother. Mention should be made here of Rev. John S.
