In1917 System A showed 47 cents per bus-mile cents per car-mile, although the cars had and the buses only passengers per car-mile. Hence the earnings per passenger were morethan 10 cents on the bus against only cents onthe car. Similar conditions prevail on the other sys-tems. The schedule speeds of the motor-buses varied.
