Steatite oil lamp, Middle Minoan III-Late Minoan I, ca. 1750–1450 , Minoan, Steatite, H. 2 1/4 in. ( cm); Diameter 5 1/4 in. ( cm), Miscellaneous-Stone Vases, Oil would have been placed in the bowl, and wicks could rest on the two cuttings in the rim. This is a good example of one of the most characteristic types of stone lamps that were made in the Neopalatial period
