Sophomore Class History We, as the Sophomore class of 09 have entered school, realizing the valueand necessity of a higher education. By using the powers of our minds and bodies, while being surrounded by theuplifting influence of its patrons and friends, we shall aim to advance the highstandard of schohlarship that Bethany has long maintained. Although temptations intrude our path, and trials encompass us, it is thepurpose of the class of 1911 to grasp every opportunity offered to make our char-acters firm and noble, so that we may be equipped with the power to strike, witha conquering force, the tasks of life, whatever that may be. To aid in overcom-ing these tasks, self reliance is of vital importance, and we feel sure that this addi-tional element is possessed, to a safe degree, by each member of the Sophomoreclass. Ours is a large and ambitious class. We have already displayed much energyin the class room, as well as on the field of battle, the Sophomore-Freshmanscrap. To many of
