The mountains are accessible from different points ; glen roads leading from Hilltown to Ross- trevor, Kilkeel, and Newcastle, and another skirting the whole extent of their seaward base. The principal rivers are the Bann and the Lagan ; the former rising in the mountains at Deers Meadow; and the latter from two sources which unite near Waringsford.
