The original Wyevale nursery is located on the Brecon road at Whitecross near Hereford
This landscape is situated about 3 km west of the city of Hereford, close to the north bank of the River Wye. There are traditional apple and pear orchards and there is a well worn drovers road running parallel to the main Brecon road, lined with lime trees on the approach to the Whitecross roundabout. There is a pastoral countryside heritage, adjacent to SSSI areas, that is quiet and full of birdsong despite being only very near to the city of Hereford. This landscape was painted by artist Brian Hatton, and is popular for walkers and cyclists. Whitecross was painted by Turner.
