Fulani woman in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

This is Haoua Pendoru. She is already a grandmother yet her youngest child is only a few years old. Her husband, the product of an arranged marriage when she was fifteen years old, abandonned her to go to the Ivory Coast. He doesn t send food or money back. Haoua's head is full of worries, not the least of which is food.
